Cold Coffee

By Mita Mondal
Cold coffee is a thick, frothy milk drink I whip up with fresh cream, sugar and a spoonful of coffee mix, just the way it is done in a café.

Ingredients

To make the coffee mix:

  • 1 tbsp Coffee powder
  • 1 tbsp Milk

For making the cold coffee:

  • 1/2 liter Milk
  • 1/4 cup Fresh cream
  • 1/4 cup Sugar

For garnishing the cold coffee:

  • 1/4 tsp Coffee powder – ¼ tsp

Instructions

  • Blend ¼ cup of fresh cream and ¼ cup of sugar in a deep-bottom container using a hand blender very nicely. Now take half a litre of milk and keep 1 tbsp of milk aside to mix the coffee, and add the remaining milk to the sugar and cream mixture in the container. Blend everything again until it becomes frothy.
  • Now, take a small plate and mix 1 tbsp of coffee with the 1 tbsp of milk you kept aside very nicely. Pour the coffee mixture into the milk. Blend it again. (Pro tip: You can use a couple of ice cubes in it if you really want your coffee cold).
  • Pour the mixture into a glass. Add some cream on top. Sprinkle ¼ tsp of dry coffee on top of it.
  • Your homemade refreshing cold coffee is ready.

Notes

I have used the regular Nescafe to make my cold coffee. You can use any brand.
I have not used any ice in my coffee because I prefer to have it thick and creamy.
Cold coffee is all about blending. So, blend patiently.
