Take 2 cups of water in a frying pan, heat it, put 5 large pieces of fish. (Pro tip: I have used silver carp fish. You can use any variety).
Put 1 tsp of turmeric powder and salt.
Cover it. Boil for 15 minutes. Remove them when done, cool them, and debone them.
Take 5 slices of bread. Remove the edges.
Cut them further into thinner slices.
Take a food processor, put the boiled and deboned fish and the sliced bread. (Pro tip: You can use a mixer grinder if you do not have a food processor).
Add ½ tsp of black pepper powder, ½ tsp each of cumin seeds powder coriander seeds powder, garlic paste, ginger paste, and salt to taste. (Pro tip: Be careful about the salt as you have also added it while boiling the fish).
Follow it with 1 finely sliced piece of 1 medium-size onion, 6 pieces of fresh green chilies, ½ cup of fresh coriander leaves, and 2 tbsp of cooking oil. (Pro tip: Adjust the chilies according to your preference).
Blend it.
Take a plate. Grease the plate and your hand with a little bit of oil. Transfer the paste from the food processor. Spread it evenly.
Take a knife. Grease it with oil. Cut it into small square pieces.
Give them the final shape. Put them all on a plate. Keep it aside for 10 minutes to set properly.
Take an adequate amount of bread crumbs on another plate, and also whip two eggs nicely in a bowl.
First, dip each piece in egg batter, then coat it with bread crumbs. Keep it on the plate. Repeat the process for all pieces.
Refrigerate or keep the coated nuggets aside for about 5 to 10 minutes to set properly.
In the meantime, take frying pan, put 50 ml of cooking oil, heat it, and put the nuggets one by one. (Pro tip: Do not deep fry nuggets. Shallow frying with 1/3 of their height in oil and the rest above it produces the best results).
Flip them occasionally. Cook them for 10 minutes on a medium flame.
Take them out when golden-brown on both sides.
Put them on a plate. Serve them hot.
