Green tea is a light, refreshing beverage made from unoxidized tea leaves, which produce its delicate taste and healthy properties. The beverage requires tea bags or loose green tea leaves to be steeped in hot water for a brief period to extract its delicate aromas and nutritional components. It can be had plain or with sweeteners and lemon juice.
I have used tea bags to make green tea. You can use green tea leaves as well. The brewing time varies with the quality and grade of the tea leaves and ranges from 2 to 5 minutes.Add honey when the tea is slightly hot or else it will become toxic.Instead of adding honey like me, you can add sugar or any sweetener to green tea.Refrigerate after making or add ice cubes to it to make ice green tea.Lemon juice or mint leaves also enhance the taste of green tea.
