Take 25 jamun fruits in a bowl and wash them nicely.
Cut the pulp to separate the seeds.
Keep the pulp aside in a bowl.
Now, in a mixer, take 1 tbsp of freshly grated coconut, 3 pieces of green chilies (broken into half), a little bit of coriander leaves, 1 tbsp of jaggery, a piece of tamarind of about half the size of a regular lemon, 7 whole black peppercorns, ¼ tsp of cumin powder, and salt to taste.
Add ¼ glass of water and grind everything together to make a smooth paste.
Add the jamun fruit pulp to it.
Blend it again a couple of times.
It should be a fine paste. Check the consistency.
Transfer it to a bowl and your sweet and tasty homemade jamun chutney is ready.
I always choose fresh and ripe jamun fruits to make this chutney. They render the exact sweet and creamy taste.Do not add a lot of other ingredients to make this chutney, or else you will not get the real taste of jamun fruits.Do not add too much water while grinding the ingredients. Jamun fruits themselves have a lot of juice.Check the consistency of the chutney while blending. You do not want a runny chutney.I blend the ingredients first and then add the jamun fruit pulp to it. This does not overpower the flavor and taste of the jamun fruit.
