Smoked Fish

By Mita Mondal
Smoked fish is usually made with whole fish with fewer bones. They are first marinated for half an hour with tandoori masala powder, salt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, and a variety of powdered spices then shallow fried after coating with a semolina and rice flour mix, which adds to the crispiness, and finally smoked.

Notes

You can use any store-bought tandoori masala powder like me for the recipe.
If needed you can use a little bit of water while making the masala mix.
I have used Bangda fish in this recipe. You can use any type of fish with fewer bones.
Keep the coated fish pieces aside for half an hour for proper marination.
It is not mandatory to coat the marinated fish pieces with rava. It only adds to the crispiness. You can fry them directly if you want.
