Black chickpea pickle, also known as Kale Chana Ka Pickle, is a delicious and flavorful condiment made from black chickpeas, mustard oil, green chili, ginger, and a mixture of fragrant spices.
Take 500 gm black chickpeas and soak them overnight. Then spread them on a towel and let them dry completely.
Heat one cup of mustard oil in a pan.
Add 8 to 9 slitted green chilis, 1 tbsp mustard powder, 2 tbsp pickle spice mix, 1 tbsp turmeric powder, 1 tbsp red chili powder, salt to taste, 1 tbsp coriander powder, 1 tbsp cumin powder, and 2½ tbsp vinegar to the chickpeas. Mix everything very nicely.
Add one more cup of mustard oil and mix everything very nicely.
Your Black Chickpea Pickle is ready. Store it in a sun-dried jar and enjoy it anytime.
