Cheese Soup

Cheese soup combines melted cheese with fresh vegetables like spring onions and carrots, cooked in butter and flour with chicken stock. White pepper powder and Worcestershire sauce are added for additional taste.

Ingredients
  

  • 100 grams cheese grated
  • 3 stalks spring onions finely chopped
  • 2 pieces carrots grated
  • 1 liter chicken stock
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour maida
  • ¼ tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp white pepper powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Fry 3 stalks of spring onions (finely chopped) in 3 tbsp of butter.
  • Add ¼ cup all-purpose flour (maida).
  • Add 1 liter chicken stock gradually.
  • When it thickens, add 2 pieces of grated carrots.
  • Add 100 grams of grated cheese.
  • Add ¼ tsp of Worcestershire sauce, ½ tsp of white pepper powder, and salt to taste. Mix nicely.
  • Garnish with chopped spring onions. Your tasty and healthy homemade cheese soup is ready.

Notes

The soup will develop a flour-paste flavor if you do not cook it nicely after adding maida.
Include additional vegetables that you prefer to the soup.
Limit your salt addition because cheese contains its own salt content.
I have used cheddar cheese in the recipe but you can select any cheese type to use.
If you are a vegetarian, add vegetable stalk instead of chicken stalk.
