To make the dough, take 2 cup refined wheat flour (maida), 1 tbsp cooking oil, and ½ tsp salt in a bowl. Mix all of them nicely.
Add water gradually as required and knead it to make a hard dough. Rub a bit of refined oil and cover it with a cellophane paper. Let it set for 20 to 30 mins.
By this time, make the stuffing for chicken momo. In a bowl take 300 gram boneless chicken (minced) and add ½ cup onion (finely chopped), ½ tsp salt, ½ cup spring onion, 1 tsp black soy sauce, ½ tsp black pepper powder, 1 tsp vinegar, 2 tbsp white refined oil.
Follow it with, 1 cheese cube (grated).
Mix everything very nicely and leave it to marinate for 20 minutes.
Now, remove the cellophane cover from the dough. Knead it slightly again and make small balls of it.
Roll them thinly. Put about 1 tbsp of chicken momo stuffing in it. Apply little bit water on the side.
Wrap the edges together.
Give it a shape of a momo.
Now take a plate with holes in it, as shown in the image. Grease it with a little bit of refined oil.
Place the momos, each at a distance.
Take a saucepan with water. Place the tray on top of the saucepan with boiling water.
Cover it and let it steam for 15 minutes on medium heat.
Take them out very carefully when done because the momos will be very soft and tender.
Your homemade delicious chicken momo is ready to serve with momo soup and chutney.
