I got this recipe from an old school friend who visited me after a long time. While catching up, she made this dish in my kitchen. It was delicious and filled the room with nostalgia, aroma, and ecstasy. I closely watched her make the dish and therefore did not ask her separately for the recipe. After she left, I made it again soon after.

My husband said it tasted like memory, and my boys liked the new touch to the traditional chicken momos they usually have from the roadside stalls. Now, it is our reunion recipe. That day reminded me that friendships age like fine ingredients—waiting for the right moment to be stirred again into warm, comforting flavors that only old bonds can create.

Notes

I have added cheese in the recipe for additional taste and flavor. It is however optional and its amount can also be adjusted.
I have shown the most common and easiest shape to my momos. There are several other shapes you can give to the chicken momo. Use your imagination. Watch my full video for giving other shapes.
You can use traditional momo steamer to make this recipe. However, my aim is to make momos at home using everyday kitchen utensils.
Do not overcrowd the tray with too many momos. This will ensure even cooking and easy removal.
Make sure the tray you are using for steaming the momos sets properly on the saucepan leaving no gaps. If the cover has a hole, close it with a piece of paper as I have done.
