Nimbu Pani

Nimbu pani is traditionally made with lemon juice and black salt only, mixed in cold water. Optionally, sugar, jaggery, and mint leaves are also used for additional taste.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp black salt
  • Ice cubes as required
  • 2 lemon rings

Instructions
 

  • Squeeze 2 tbsp of lemon juice in a glass. Add ¼ tsp black salt in each.
  • Put ice cubes as required.
  • Fill with water.
  • Stir nicely.
  • Slit one end of a lemon ring and insert in the glass.
  • Your cool and refreshing homemade nimbu pani is ready.

Notes

I have used ice and water separately. You can use cold water directly.
You can also add jaljeera with the drink.
Put in a few basil or mint leaves for flavor enhancement.
