Rava Bonda

Rava bonda comprises small balls made from semolina dough, which contains cumin seeds, curd, finely chopped coriander leaves, and green chilies. These balls are deep-fried until golden.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup rava semolina or suji
  • 1.5 cup water
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cooking oil
  • ½ cup Dahi
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 pieces green chilies finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves finely chopped
  • Cooking oil an adequate amount for deep frying

Instructions
 

  • Boil 1.5 cup of water with 1 tsp of cooking oil and ½ tsp salt.
  • Add 1 cup rava.
  • Cook until dry.
  • Add ½ cup of Dahi, ½ tsp of cumin seeds, 2 pieces of finely chopped green chilies, and 1 tbsp of coriander leaves (finely chopped).
  • Make balls.
  • Deep fry until golden.
  • Your tasty homemade rava bonda is ready.

Notes

I have used fine suji in the recipe. You can use any variety. 
Cook the suji on a low temperature while stirring it throughout the cooking process to prevent any clumps from forming. 
The Dahi can be replaced with half a lemon's juice for those who dislike or lack the ingredient. 
The oil needs to be heated at high temperature before starting to fry the bondas which should be cooked at a medium to low temperature.
