I learned this recipe when I first had it in a roadside stall in a hot summer afternoon. I was afraid to ask the stall owner about the recipe, thinking it might be his trade secret but watched how he put in the ingredients in a mixie jar.

I made it for my two sons and husband the next day and they were overjoyed at its cool and refreshing taste. Though my husband said it did not need so much sugar since the bananas were ripe, my sons loved it and asked for a glass more. I was so happy for them and thanked my stars to have had the drink the day before.

Notes

I have used regular milk in the recipe. You can make it dairy free with coconut or oat milk.
Make sure there are no lumps of banana for a smooth texture of the banana milkshake.
Though I have not used them, you may add crushed ice to make it more refreshing.
You may also blend all ingredients in a mixie jar for a smoother texture.
