I had this dish for the first time in kitchen of a friend. I asked her how she learned. “From my mother’s letters,” she said. I tried to figure out the ingredients added in it and recreated it at home gradually after a few failed attempts. Eventually, oy tasted just like the ones I had before. It is now a dish I reserve for moments when I need hope.
