Egg Burger Feature Image

This dish came from a retired army man who ran a tiny eatery in a village. He cooked with military precision, but there was joy in every gesture. When I praised it, he gave me a salute and said, “Secret is in the timing.” I noted his method and tried it back home, but rushed it.

The result was flat. Eventually, I followed his mantra—watch the clock. Now I make it with a timer and a toast in his honor.

How to Make Egg Burger? (Step by Step Guide with Images)

Step 1: Heat 1 tsp of butter in a frying pan. Put 10 to 12 onion rings, 10 to 12 thin slices of green capsicum, and 10 to 12 thin slices of fresh carrot in it. Stir and fry them for 2 to 3 minutes on a medium flame until the onions turn translucent and others soft.

Notes

I use fresh bun and ingredients for the best taste and flavor.
You can make a small dip or crater in the bun to hold toppings better.
I prefer adding extra butter to the bun’s dip for extra flavor.
Toasting the bun is a good practice if you want additional crunch.
Shape the egg poach to a perfect circle using a lid. This adds to the visual presentation.
