I got this recipe from the home tutor who came to help my elder son during board exams. My son was not keeping well due to flu at that time. She then suggested I give him this tea. It is good for health and flu as well. I was intrigued and asked her if she could show me how to make it and she gladly taught it to me in my kitchen.

I tried to make it all by myself the following day. My husband appreciated the effort, and my boys called it “tuition tea.” Now, it is our common tea during rainy days and exam days. That interaction reminded me that teachers do not just teach lessons—they sometimes pass on healthy recipes and flavors we carry forever.

Notes

I have used regular CTC tea leaves to make this chai. You can use any variety.
Use fresh and green Tulsi leaves to make this tea.
Always boil the water first and then add tea leaves and milk. This enhances the flavor of Tulsi.
