Notes

  1. I pick the right green papaya to make this recipe. Make sure it is firm and has a pale green skin. Remember, ripe or yellow papayas are not apt for this recipe and will affect the taste and texture of the dish adversely.
  2. Peel the papaya with a sharp knife or a vegetable peeler and remove the seeds properly. Marinate them with lemon juice and salt for some time to tenderize the pieces and add to the flavor as well.
  3. It is important to balance the flavor of the slightly tangy papaya with the perfect combination of spices. Use the ones mentioned in the ingredient list and adjust the amount according to your taste preference and heat tolerance level.
  4. Follow the cooking instructions properly so that you do not overcook the papaya. Whether you stir-fry them or simmer in a sauce, they will get cooked pretty fast.
