I made egg kababs for the first time at my friend’s house. We each wore aprons and laughed the whole time whilst executing each step. When it was made finally, we took a chunk and was amazed at the result. It became a fun day for us. I promised to make it at home myself and share the recipe and fun for food lovers like you.

How to Make Egg Kabab? (Step by Step Guide with Images)

Step 1: Grate 2 potatoes and 2 eggs (boiled, peeled).

Step 2: Add ½ tsp each of red chili flakes, garam masala powder, black pepper powder, red chili powder, roasted cumin powder, garlic powder, and ginger powder.

Step 3: Then add 2 tbsp of finely chopped onions, 1 tbsp of finely chopped fresh green chilies, 4 tbsp of Birista (crispy fried onions), ¼ cup of finely chopped fresh coriander leaves, and 1 tsp salt.

Step 4: Follow it with ½ cup of breadcrumbs.

(Pro tip: You can use the same amount of gram flour or refined wheat flour instead of bread crumbs).

Step 5: Mix everything nicely.

Step 6: Shape the kababs.

Step 8: Heat an adequate amount of cooking oil in a pan on a high flame. Reduce the flame to medium. Put the egg kababs one by one in the hot oil very carefully from one side of the pan so that you do not splash hot oil on you.

Step 9: Flip and fry the kababs on a medium to high flame for 3 to 4 minutes.

Notes

Adjust the chilies according to your preference.
I recommend refrigerating the kababs for a while before frying for proper setting.
Maintain the oil temperature by regulating the flame continuously while frying.
Do not overcrowd the pan with too many kabab pieces to allow proper frying and easy flipping.
Eggs in the recipe will create oil foam while frying. So, I lift and check while flipping the kababs to see whether they are done or not.
