KEY TAKEAWAYS

Peach Chutney Featured Image

I came across this chutney recipe from a woman who arranges flowers for our society pujas. After one morning setup, she sat down to eat and offered me some. The food smelled divine and the chutney alongside enhanced the taste even further. Later on, I asked her how she made it, and she smiled and described the process while stringing jasmine.

I cooked it later that week. My husband said it had floral grace, and my boys found it light and fragrant. Now, it features in all our special-day menu. That moment reminded me that devotion appears not only in garlands but also in recipes passed between women with petals in their hair and strength in their hearts.

Notes

I choose ripe, juicy peaches to ensure a naturally sweet and flavorful chutney.
Adjust the sugar quantity based on the sweetness of your peaches.
Adjust the amount of red chili powder according to your preference.
I explore different types of vinegar for varied depths of flavor such as apple cider vinegar or white wine vinegar.
Use food color sparingly for the natural color of peach in your chutney.
