I learned to make this dish from a lady I met a long time back in my son’s gym class. We were both waiting to pick up our sons after class and struck a conversation. Food was an obvious topic of discussion, when, one day she suggested I make this dish for a quick snack. She said that the kids will love it.

When I made the dish the following weekend, they seemed to like it a lot more than I expected. The fish was cooked perfectly and well and it all looked right from the visual appeal to the flavor and taste. It felt very similar to the dish we normally get in restaurants. Now it features almost every weekend. I am really grateful to the lady for sharing this simple yet so popular recipe.

Notes

You can use any fish variety to make this recipe, but make sure they are boneless.
I prefer using an equal amount of all-purpose flour and corn flour to make the batter.
Do not fry the fish on a high flame.
Always mix the corn flour slurry on a high flame.
I add white vinegar in the end to render the right balance to the taste of this dish.
