Foli fish (Bronze Featherback) is prepared with common vegetables along with the fish. The fish is cut and cleaned. Then it is marinated with turmeric and salt.

Fired in oil and kept aside. Then oil is added and kalonji for tampering. Along with that the vegetables are added to shallow fry then turmeric, dhaniya and jeera powder is added.

After a sauté of these veggies along with the masalas then add water to boil. Then the fishes are added to the boiling gravy and after keeping it. turn the flame down and garnish with coriander leaves.

This is a very simple and general fish curry recipe where you can simply blend all the spices like cumin, coriander, Kashmiri Lal and turmeric along with tomatoes and baton sized cut potatoes.

Then all these blended and prepared a gravy where fried foli fish is being added.

Crisp Foli Fish Kebab or Kofta:

This is a very time-consuming fish recipe. At first foli fish is being cut from the sides.

Then the flesh or the meat from the fish is being taken out with the help of a spoon and Shil bata.

Then when the meat is separated from the skin then it is cooked with garam masala, black pepper, cardamom, fenugreek, pepper, turmeric, hot spices, garlic, ginger and onion.

Then it is folded with the skin and fried to make small Koftas. You can serve it with salad.
