I learned this recipe from a cook show aired on the TV a long time back. It was simple and quick to make and so I wrote down the ingredients on a piece of paper, just in case.

I made it one day at home and it was quite impressive at the first attempt. When I served them along with dal chawal at lunch, my two sons were surprised at the taste and look of the dish. My husband inquired about the recipe and appreciated my effort. Now, this dish features quite often in our menu.

Notes

You can use any fish variety to make this dish.
Make sure the batter is not too thick or too runny.
I always fry the fish on a medium heat. It ensures proper cooking both from the inside and the outside.
Let the fish pieces fry for 3 to 4 minutes on each side before removing them.
