Lassi is a simple refreshing drink that combines thick curd, cool ice cubes and sugar. Sometimes, dry fruits, fresh fruits and spices like cardamom powder are also used for taste and flavor enhancement and additional refreshment. The more fruits added, the richer it becomes in taste and flavor. My simple recipe will show you the complete process for making lassi at your home.

I discovered this recipe from a local tailoring app. One of the reviews talked about how the tailor’s wife makes this while managing bulk orders. I was intrigued and messaged her. She was surprised but happy to share it.

I made it one evening during a busy week. My husband loved its simplicity, and the boys said it was “tailor sharp!” Now, it is our ‘busy but homey’ meal. That app experience reminded me that even in the digital age, recipes can travel far from thread and needle to stove and plate.

Notes

I recommend using fresh homemade curd to make lassi.
I add cashew nuts in my lassi but you can skip it as it is optional.
Add sugar depending on the sourness of the curd and according to your taste preference.
