A kind lady at the mall taught me this recipe when we happened to pick fresh paneer from the shelves. She said it is very easy and quick to make this dish, which I found to be true while recording the steps she narrated over my phone.

Coming back home, I started making it, following all instructions as narrated to me. I was surprised at the outcome. The smell, the tenderness of the paneer and the taste – all were just perfect. Both my sons and husband appreciated my effort and I felt grateful to the lady for sharing the recipe with me.

Notes

Always use fresh paneer and fry the pieces twice to make this dish. Flash frying paneer pieces adds to the crunchiness.
I add crushed black pepper to marinate the paneer. It renders better taste than the powder variant.
Marinating paneer is crucial. It allows for proper flavor infusion of spices and enhances the taste.
Paneer is usually very soft. Use soft hands to mix the spices with paneer pieces, or else they will break.
I recommend using a mixture of refined wheat flour and corn flour to coat the paneer cubes. It will add to the crunchiness.
