I chanced upon this quick and simple egg bread pakora recipe while talking to an old woman from our neighborhood. She always experiments with different dishes using very few and simple ingredients and told me to try it for my kids who are in school and will be coming back now soon. She gave me the recipe, which I recorded on my cell phone, just for the record, and I hurried home after that, so keen to try it.

I did everything as per the instructions and the pakoras turned out really nice and tasty, soft inside and crispy outside. My sons were over the moon with the first one and asked for more and even my husband, who was having his cup of tea in the evening, praised the taste. I naturally thanked the lady for sharing such a wonderful and quick recipe.

Notes

Instead of using milk bread like me, you can use regular or sandwich bread to make the pakoras.
I have cut the bread slices diagonally but you can cut them horizontally if you want.
Always heat the oil on a high flame but fry the pakoras on a low to medium flame. This will prevent burning the exterior quickly.
Avoid putting too many pakoras at a time in the oil. It will overcrowd the pan and make it difficult to flip them and may even break them in the process.
