I had this drink at a small sharbat stall while I visited our local market in summer. The beautiful color and the refreshing taste attracted me, and I struck up a conversation with the vendor. While he was making the drink for others, I watched the ingredients and the process closely. I also checked it up in a few magazines and YouTube for some additional tips later and wrote them down in my kitchen diary.

I made the drink the very next afternoon, and it turned out incredibly refreshing and flavorful. My husband appreciated the drink because it created a refreshing effect, while my two sons were drawn to its bright color which made them request more drinks. The drink made everyone happier while I discovered a simple summer drink recipe which brought me happiness and gratitude for the vendor.

Notes

I have used lemon juice in the sharbat. You may skip it.
You can use rose syrup of any brand to make the drink.
I have used soaked sabja seeds to make the drink. You may skip it if you want.
Rose syrup is usually sweet and so no sugar is needed to make the drink. However, you may add if you want.
You may use more ice cubes if you want, though I have used only two in each glass of sharbat.
